The paper leak has forced authorities to postpone the examination indefinitely, sparking widespread anger among students and raising concerns over the integrity of the evaluation system.

According to reports, the Midwifery subject question paper—meant for the afternoon session—was allegedly circulating on social media around 11 AM, nearly three hours before the examination was to begin at 2 PM.

The leak was first flagged by students and local sources from Malkangiri and Bolangir districts, where screenshots of the paper reportedly went viral on various messaging platforms. Students preparing for the exam expressed deep frustration, stating that such security lapses severely undermine the credibility of the nursing education system.

Many questioned how the paper could surface online well before the scheduled time and demanded accountability from officials responsible for handling examination materials.

Following the allegations, the authorities decided to suspend the examination indefinitely, assuring students that a fresh date would be announced only after a thorough probe.

Candidates are now urging the government to launch a comprehensive investigation to identify and punish the individuals or networks behind the leak.
The incident has once again brought attention to the recurring problem of exam malpractice, with students stressing the need for stronger safeguards and transparent systems to prevent such breaches in the future.
