Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on Friday, where he will attend a series of official programmes across Cuttack, Jatani, and Bhubaneswar.

During the visit, the Union Minister will participate in the 57th Raising Day celebration of the Central Industrial Security Force at Mundali as the chief guest and inaugurate several development projects.

CISF Raising Day Programme

Shah’s official engagements will commence on March 6 with his participation in the Raising Day programme of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mundali in Cuttack. The event marks the foundation day of the force and is observed annually with ceremonial proceedings and official addresses.

Foundation Ceremonies And Inaugurations

In the afternoon, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the campus of the National Forensic Sciences University and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory at Jatani. He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU transit campus.

Additionally, Shah will inaugurate the sulphuric acid plant of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited at its Paradip unit. During the visit, he will also inaugurate five major projects across the country with a total expenditure of Rs 889.31 crore.

Exhibition And Other Programmes

Later in the day, the Union Home Minister will inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Samhita exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground. The programme will include the laying of foundation stones and the inauguration of projects related to the Cooperation Department and other departments.

Shah is also scheduled to participate in the ‘White Revolution 2.0’ programme, which focuses on boosting dairy production through cooperative services, empowering youth, and supporting farmers.

Meanwhile, a Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita exhibition is being organised at the Unit-3 Exhibition Ground starting Friday. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Union Home Minister and will remain open to the general public from March 7 to March 10.

After completing his engagements, Shah is scheduled to return to New Delhi aboard a Border Security Force aircraft. Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been put in place in view of the visit.
