A fresh road accident involving an Ama Bus was reported in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning, raising renewed concerns over commuter safety in the city. The incident occurred around 7 am near the Patrapada area, where an Ama Bus allegedly collided with a scooter, leaving the rider injured.

The injured person, identified as a delivery executive travelling along the same route, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. According to preliminary information, the bus was on its regular route from the Patrapada depot towards Dumduma at the time of the accident.

The mishap reportedly took place shortly after the bus departed from the Patrapada depot, triggering panic among local residents and commuters. People in the area expressed concern over what they described as a growing number of accidents involving the Ama Bus services in recent days.

Residents questioned the effectiveness of existing safety measures, stating that repeated assurances from authorities have not translated into safer roads. The recurring incidents have heightened anxiety among daily commuters, particularly two-wheeler riders and pedestrians who frequently use busy city routes.
