Bhubaneswar: For some people, critiquing is a pastime and this lot does not even spare a reputed leader’s genuine feelings of tribute to a departed soul. For, the heartfelt message that former MP Jay Panda wrote in his twitter handle, was misread and critiqued.

However, looking at the reactions to his tweet tribute, Panda a person of calm and composure, immediately took to his twitter account once again to clarify that the words he had put within quotes was not his own but someone else’s and people misunderstood it due to ignorance or malice.

"A few ppl from ignorance misunderstood the phrase in quote marks in tweet blw. A few others from malice pretended not to notice the quote marks. It was in quotes bcz it's NOT my opinion but some others'. My point: it was a common 1980s description for AtalJi, which he disproved!," Panda's tweet read.

Earlier, in his previous tweet the former parliamentarian while expressing grief over Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death had tweeted:

"#AtalBihariVajpayeeji amar rahe! He was always my idol. For long years he was 'the right man in the wrong party', but by the time i entered Parlmt, he was already (& remains) one of our most revered & popular heads of govt ever. He was a class apart."
