A tragic collision involving a college bus and a hyva left seven people, including five students, injured in Manikpur near Champua border on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the Nua Mundi Inter College bus was transporting students from Jayanti Gada to the college when a hyva coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with the bus near Manikpur. The impact caused severe damage to the front portion of the college bus. Reportedly, two drivers and five students sustained injuries in the accident.

Rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene, and all the injured were admitted to the Champua medical facility. Hospital authorities confirmed that the students are in stable condition.
Eyewitnesses and local residents have speculated that the accident may have been caused by a combination of poor visibility due to cold weather conditions and careless driving. The bus was operating on its usual route at the time of the collision.
Authorities have launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash, while emergency services continue to monitor the condition of the injured.
