Berhampur: Two homes guards of Polasara Police station in Ganjam district tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Both home guards were reportedly on duty at Jagannathpur Railway station and also at a temporary medical centre set up for quarantine of returning migrants to Odisha.

Elsewhere, four new COVID-19 cases have been detected in Sonepur, confirmed the district collector.
Of the four cases, two have been reported from Sonepur block and one each from Tarbha and Dunguripali blocks.
All the four persons were staying in quarantine centres and they have been shifted to Covid Health Centre, the collector informed through a tweet.

On May 19, a constable in the armed police reserve tested positive for COVID-19. It was the first case of a policeman getting infected with the virus in the State.
The police personnel (36), on his return from leave, was subjected to precautionary testing and found COVID-19 positive. He was asymptomatic and he had reportedly come in contact with a labourer from outside State.
