Cuttack is set to get a major infrastructure upgrade at SCB Medical College and Hospital. A 17-storey multi-level parking facility will be developed within the SCB campus, following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The parking complex will come up over 6.51 acres and will also cater to patients and attendants visiting Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital. Parking facilities will be available up to 12 floors, while the remaining floors will house administrative and academic blocks, including pharmacy colleges.

Indoor games and swimming pool facilities will also be provided for medical college students.

During the review meeting, the Chief Minister discussed the redevelopment of Berhampur and Burla Medical Colleges and suggested early operationalisation of the Panikoili Trauma Care Centre under the PPP mode.

The meeting also focused on constructing rest houses for attendants at government medical colleges in Cuttack, Berhampur, Burla, Sundargarh, Koraput, Baripada and Bolangir.
