A massive 16-foot-long King Cobra was recently rescued from Baunsapala village under Soro police limits in Balasore district.
According to reports, the snake was found inside a house; the house owner discovered the huge King Cobra when it was swallowing a smaller snake.
Frightened by the sight, the house owner quickly locked the doors and alerted the Forest Department and the Snake Helpline team for help.
Responding swiftly, the rescue team reached the spot and launched an operation to capture the reptile safely.
After hours of maneuvers, the team managed to rescue the giant King Cobra without harm. Later, it was released into a nearby forest area as per the forest department protocols.
Forest officials urged residents to stay calm and contact helpline numbers immediately if such incidents occur.
Due to the timely and coordinated response of the Forest and Snake Helpline teams, no harm was reported either to the residents or the King Cobra.
