Youths, women hit streets in support of former MP Jay Panda

Cuttack: Expressing their support for former Kendrapara MP, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda amid the Chilika chopper landing controversy, youth leaders from across the State today staged demonstrations against ruling-BJD at several places.

The youth leaders accompanied by women also raised slogans against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

They alleged that with ulterior political motive, Panda’s chopper has been seized and he has been falsely implicated in the case.

Some youths under the banner of ‘Tangi-Salepur Sachetana Yuva, Chhatra and Mahila’ staged demonstration at Jangapatana under Madhyakachha Panchayat in Cuttack,

Similar demonstrations were held at Sangrampur Sasan village under Marshaghai block of Kendrapara district.

It is pertinent to mention that the Puri police seized the former MP’s chopper on charges of flying over eco-sensitive zone in Chilika Lake.
