Youth Terrorises Girl Student With Fake Gun At Gangadhar Meher Varsity In Odisha

Sambalpur: Palpable tension prevailed after a youth brandishing a gun created nuisance in front of the gate of Gangadhar Meher University in Sambalpur on Friday. It was later learnt that the gun which the youth was carrying was a fake one. However, it had created panic among students and other passersby.

Though the exact reason behind incident is still unclear, it is suspected that the fake gun totting youth reached the varsity with an intention to terrorise and force the girl to accept his love proposal.

Following the incident, Sambalpur Town Police reached the spot and took the youth into custody. The youth has been detained and further probe in connection with the incident is underway.
