Youth Killed In Front Of His Father In Odisha

Puri: Ongoing dispute between two groups took an ugly turn after a youth was brutally murdered in front of his father at Alasahi village under Astaranga Police limits in Puri on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Dillip Swain.

As per reports, Dilip's family had a long standing dispute with some persons in the village. The incident occurred when Dilip, his father and associate, who had reportedly gone to resolve the dispute, were allegedly attacked by their opponent groups.

Following the incident, all the three were rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar where Dilip was declared brought dead by doctors. The condition of deceased Dilip's father and associate is said to be critical.

“I have lost my brother and my father is critical. I want stern action against the attackers," said Bapi Swain, brother of the deceased.

Meanwhile, Astaranga Police have initiated a probe into the matter while a car and knife has been seized from the spot.

Demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants involved in the murder, locals today staged a demonstration by burning tyres.
