Bhubaneswar: A non-political organisation named Youth for Action comprising 5,000 youths from across 25 districts in Odisha was launched in Bhubaneswar today.

The logo and website of the organisation was launched at a special function here today which was attended by BJP national vice-president Baijayant Panda and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi. Ace sprinter Dutee Chand and senior journalist Pradumnya Satpathy were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Jay Panda said, “Bhubaneswar MP and other youngsters have taken lead of the programme which aims for national development particularly Odisha. I welcome the move.”

“We are extending full support to Youth for Action. Youths with positive mindset and without any political or agenda have come forward for the development of our society,” said Aparajita Sarangi.

According to sources, the organisation has fixed a work plan of 100 days during which the member activists will proactively take up various initiatives like making the capital city hunger-free and Swachh Bharat Mission. Besides, health camps will be organised by the organisation at different places.
