Youth, father shot over 'previous enmity'

Jeypore: In a spine chilling incident, a youth and his father were shot by a group of miscreants allegedly over past enmity at Rajanara Chowk in Jeypore of Koraput district today.

The injured have been identified as Santosh Nayak and his father.

The father-son duo was on their bike when they were intercepted and attacked by a group of miscreants, informed sources.

Both of them were critically injured and were admitted to Koraput District Headquarter Hospital (DDH). While Santosh is reported to have sustained bullet injuries on his back and waist, his father has suffered head injuries, informed sources.

Past political enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the attack.
