Police Yet To Nab Accused Who Murdered Youth In Full Public Glare In Ganjam

Ganjam: Even after three days since a youth was beaten to death by a group of miscreants in Khallikote area of Ganjam district for having a relationship with a girl from the area, police are yet to nab the accused.

As per reports, the youth Shankar Pahan, a resident of Ramchandrapur village was beaten with sticks and bricks in full public glare by miscreants on the night of November 21 near Keshpur petrol pump. After getting information about the incident, police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

Later, the investigating cops collected CCTV footage of the brutal murder in which some miscreants can be seen mercilessly thrashing the youth, even as onlookers can be seen standing near the spot as mute spectators.

Family members of the deceased have raised questions on the police investigation saying that while the attackers are clearly identifiable in the CCTV visuals, why no arrests have been made so far.
