Worth the whistle! LS candidate in Odisha blows whistle to connect with voters

Keonjhar: In a unique election campaign, an independent candidate from the Keonjhar Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha, is drawing some attention by blowing whistle to connect with voters.

Sudarshan Lohar who is contesting as an independent candidate from Keonjhar Lok Sabha constituency has gone for the whistle as his election symbol and he his making the most of it. He moves door to door and blows the whistle both to draw the attention of the public as well as inform them about his party symbol.

"I wish to take the voice of the public of Keonjhar to the Parliament which is why I am blowing this whistle to make them aware of my objective and inform them about the symbol they should vote for," said Sudarshan.

In an era of hi-tech gaudy campaigning, such humble voter-connect initiative has been immensely praised and accepted.

"When most of the leaders are spending so much on loud campaigns, Lohar is reaching out to us in person. Such approach is leaving a mark and is being welcomed by voters," said a voter, Anup Kumar Sahu.
