Women employees level harassment charges against govt veterinary officer

Bonai: Four women employees of the Sundergarh District Veterinary Office today levelled harassment allegations against Sub-divisional Veterinary Officer (SDVO) of Bonai Garh, Saroj Kumar Pani.

As per allegations, the SDVO repeatedly misbehaved with his colleagues following which, the women today submitted a written complaint addressed to the Sundergarh Collector, director of the department, Secretary, minister, Chief Minister and the Governor.

One of the complainants said the SDVO used to ask them to sit with him in a closed room and touch their hands. “He also used inappropriate words and harassed us mentally; we want justice,” she said.

On the other hand, Pani stated the charges are baseless and false. “I used to advice them to work properly,” he added.
