Woman's death sparks tension in Kendrapara; family members ransack house of in-laws

Kendrapara: Death of a married woman under mysterious circumstances sparked tension in Endar village under Sadar Police limits in Kendrapara on Saturday. The body of deceased Rinki Maharana was found hanging at her in-laws residence.

According to reports, Rinki was married to one Babaji Maharana of Endar village. Babaji's family claimed that Rinki committed suicide by hanging herself.

Alleging that Rinki has been murdered over dowry, her family members ransacked property and later set daughter's in-laws' house on fire.

Keeping in view the palpable tension in the village, Sadar Police have detained both members of both the families and further investigation in connection with Rinki's death is underway.
