Woman, teen found dead on railway tracks in Rourkela

Rourkela: Bodies of a woman and a teenager were found on the railway tracks near Panposh here in the wee hours today.

The deceased youth has been identified as Asish Mahato (18), a resident of Purulia area of West Bengal while identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained. The woman, aged around 30 years had attempted suicide twice yesterday but was prevented by a cabin man, informed sources.

Meanwhile the police is yet to be ascertain if it is a case of suicide or an accident. Investigation into the incident has begun and the bodies have been sent for post mortem, police said.

"The relationship between the two is yet to be established. We are investigating the incident from various angles and questioning locals to get some leads," said a police official.
