Puri: The Astaranga police on Tuesday arrested a woman for allegedly duping two girls by promising them employment in a company in Bhubaneswar.  As per reports, the accused woman Dibya Bharati Jena had collected Rs 20,000 each from two girls of Balidiha village in Astaranga.

The accused had collected all their original certificates and money from the victims with promise of providing them jobs in Bhubaneswar. But then she didn’t take their calls. After a case was registered we launched a manhunt and arrested the woman from Bhubaneswar,” informed IIC of Astaranga Sumati Kumari Mohanty.

However, another accomplice of Bharati identified as Somya Ranjan Sahani, who was involved in the case is absconding, informed Mohanty. Meanwhile interrogation is on to find out if the duo had cheated any other gullible job seekers, informed the IIC.
