Boudh: A woman candidate died while undertaking a physical test for the post of constable in the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) near Murshundi in Boudh today. The deceased has been identified Pravasi Nayak from Nuagaon Block of Nayagarh.

The incident occurred during the 5-km running test when Nayak’s health condition started to deteriorate. Before she could complete the remaining 200 metres, she was admitted to Boudh District Headquarters hospital where she breathed her last.

According to sources, Nayak's health condition deteriorated due to overexertion. Two other candidates Kuna Nayak from Geleikutuni village of Dhenkanal and Pravat Kumar Sahu of Karadi village of Boudh were also admitted to hospital in critical condition. Their condition is stable now, doctors said.
