Bhubaneswar: Senior leader Damodar Rout said that he will soon take a decision regarding joining either the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Congress. Speaking to OTV today, the senior leader said “I will surely join a party but will take a final call in a day or two on whether it will be BJP or Congress.”
“I have around one month to take decision. They (parties) are in a hurry but I am not. But I will take a decision within a day or two,” Dama said.
Dama further said “Both the BJP and Congress are in touch with me. I was about to leave for Delhi today for discussions with BJP leaders, but had to cancel the trip after my wife fell sick yesterday night.”
“Odisha Congress president Niranjan Patnaik is also in touch with me,” the senior leader added.
Responding to a query on whether he is lobbying for tickets for his son and daughter, Dama Rout said “My son and daughter are grown-ups and they will take their individual decisions. I am not lobbying for them.”
