Bhubaneswar: With the weekend shutdown in all urban areas of Odisha coming into effect from tomorrow (Saturday) morning, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Friday made partial modification in his earlier order.

As per the latest notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the State Government made amendments in clause B of the notification and allowed distribution of goods under the public distribution system (PDS).

“Public Distribution System (PDS) and related activities are allowed subject to strict adherence of norms of physical distance of six feet and other Covid-19 safety protocols,” the notification said.

Earlier in the day, the SRC modified its earlier order and allowed morning walk during the shutdown.

“Morning walk/ Jogging/ Cycling for fitness shall be allowed from 5. 00 AM to 6.00AM during the weekend shutdown in all urban areas of the State,” the SRC said in a circular.
