Patnagarh: The lone survivor in the Patnagarh parcel bomb blast case Reema Sahu, who after being discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital on April 12 was residing with her parents, has now moved into the house of her in-laws in Patnagarh.

When OTV reached out to Reema to know about her condition, she said "I am staying with my in-laws since last 11 days and recovering. My health condition is also improving except for the loss of hearing in one of my ears."

In reply to how she and her in-laws are coping up with their losses, she added, "We are providing strength to each other. Now my in-laws are taking care of me and I will also look after them in future."

When asked had she any idea about the reason behind the blast, in which two persons including her husband Soumyasekhar was killed, Reema said "I had never thought that there could be such a trivial issue behind the whole incident. I demand that the accused should be hanged till death."

Reema Rani was undergoing treatment at the SCB medical after the fateful incident on February 23. She had sustained over 40 percent burn injuries and was discharged after getting clearances from ENT and other departments of the hospital.

Later on April 24, it was confirmed that English lecturer of Bhainsa College in Bolangir, Punjilal Meher was the mastermind behind the blast. He had hatched the conspiracy to settle personal scores with Sanjukta, the mother-in-law of Reema.

Punjilal is currently lodged at Patnagarh Sub-Jail after his bail petition was rejected by the Patnagarh SDJM Court on May 7.

Crime Branch has also come across some vital evidences against Punjilal. Earlier on May 21, the owner and the staff of the concerned courier agency through which the killer parcel was sent had identified Punjilal during a Test Identification (TI) Parade.
