Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar today issued thunderstorm and rainfall warning for four districts of the State.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the Met Centre, “Moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput and Nabarangpur till 1.30 PM.”

The Met Centre has also cautioned the people living in these areas to stay alert during the period.

Apart from these districts, dry weather is very likely to prevail over rest of the districts, added the Met Centre.

Earlier in the day, the weatherman had issued thunderstorm alert for the districts of Malkangiri, Raygada, Koraput, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Boudh, Sonepur, Nuapada, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal and Angul till 8.30 am.

On Wednesday, the weather department informed that a fresh Low Pressure Area is likely to form over north Andaman Sea on November 3.
