Weather Alert: Thunderstorm & lightning warning issued for 8 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar today issued thunderstorm and lightning alert for eight districts in the State.

As per the latest forecast, a moderate thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of Sundergarh, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Ganjam between 3:45 PM and 6:45 PM today.

People in these districts have been asked to remain alert as gusty winds reaching a speed to 30 and 40 kmph is also likely during the thunderstorm.
