Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar issued moderate thunderstorm & lightning warning for nine districts of Odisha till 8:45 pm today.

The alert has been issued for Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda & Keonjhar districts. People in these districts have been advised to remain alert and stay indoors in view of the thunderstorm.
Meanwhile, nine districts in Odisha recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius. Bolangir sizzled at 42.2 degree C followed by Angul & Talcher with 42.1 degree Celsius.

Among other places, Malkangiri recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2, Bhawanipatna-41, Jharsuguda-40.6, Sambalpur-40.2, Sonepur-40, Bhubaneswar-39.7 and Cuttack-38.5 degree C.
