Bhubaneswar: Bringing respite from the chilling cold, the day and night temperatures will gradually increase across the State from this week, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre today.

All the stations across Odisha have crossed the 10 degree Celsius mark in the last 24 hours, except Jharsuguda.

“As per the latest reports, the minimum temperature of all places across the State rose above 10 degree Celsius yesterday night, except Jharsuguda which recorded 9.5 degree Celsius,” weather expert at the MeT department Sudarshan Mishra said.

The official said that for next few days weather will remain dry in most of the places across the State.

“The weather will be dry for the next four days and light rainfall is likely to take place from the fifth day which will bring the mercury down. Subsequently, the temperature is expected to increase again and both the day and night temperatures will rise,” added Mishra.

As per reports, Malkangiri remained the hottest across the State with 34.5 degree Celsius on Sunday while the twin city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 28.5 and 29.6 degree Celsius respectively.
