Bhubaneswar: Several places of Odisha will experience rain under the influence of a western weather disturbance from today. As per the latest forecast of the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre, the western disturbance has now reached Jammu and Kashmir area from the Mediterranean Sea and moving towards Assam. Besides, a cyclonic circulation has also formed over eastern Bihar.

Several districts of Odisha including-Sundergarh, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Nuapada will experience rainfall from today. “There will also be rainfall in parts of Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj and in coastal Odisha in next 24 hours,” said RK Nayak, duty officer of the meteorological centre.

Following the rain, temperature is likely come down by at least three degrees Celsius. The north westerly winds will continue to flow towards Odisha and the intensity of cold will increase further, the official added.

Earlier, the meteorological department had issued an intense fog warning for Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Khurda today.
