Bhubaneswar:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued thunderstorm warning for several parts of Odisha from February 24 to February 27.  Moreover, several parts in interior Odisha will also experience rainfall in the next 24 hours under the impact of a trough line while the day temperature in several parts is likely to be 4 to 5 degree Celsius above normal.

As per the special bulletin issued by IMD, light to moderate rain and thunderstorm are likely to occur at few places in interior and coastal districts. Thunderstorm and lightning warnings have been issued for Mayurbhanj, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal in the next 24 hours.

February 25 and February 26: Thunder squall with lightning and hail likely to occur at one or two places of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Angul.

Heavy rain is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack and Dhenkanal.

Thunderstorm and lightning alert has also been issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Angul, Deogarh and Sundergarh districts between February 26 and February 27.
