Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation has formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger rainfall in the coastal and interior parts of Odisha from today. The coastal districts will experience moderate to heavy rainfall till October 30, informed Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre.

The cyclonic circulation is likely to further intensify into a low pressure and several districts including Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara will experience heavy rainfall.

Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre Director, HR Biswas informed, “Scattered rainfall is likely in few places in coastal districts from today while heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places like Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara.”

“Light to moderate rainfall may occur at many places in coastal districts on October 29,” added Biswas.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into deep sea in view of rough sea conditions in the next two days (October 29 and 30).
