Bhubaneswar: A passenger died after developing medical complications while travelling in IndiGo flight today. The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar Karmakar (32) of West Bengal. He was travelling in Kolkata-Bengaluru IndiGo flight 822.

According to reports, the flight had reportedly made an emergency landing at around 11:15 AM at Bhubaneswar airport after Karmakar fell sick in mid-flight. He was immediately shifted to Capital hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

“He (Rajkumar) was sick and we were taking him to Bengaluru for treatment. But after 45 minutes of the take off, he complained of uneasiness and his pulse also dropped. The flight subsequently made an emergency landing at Bhubaneswar and he was shifted to Capital hospital where the doctors declared him dead,” said Sunil Choudhry, a relative.
