WARNING! Thunderstorm, Lightning, Rainfall Alert For 15 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for 15 districts of Odisha till 5:15 PM today.

According to official sources, the alert has been issued for Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal,  Gajapati, Ganjam, Nuapada, Sonepur, Bargarh, Boudh, Nayagarh, Angul, Jharsuguda and Dhenkanal.

People in these districts have been advised to stay indoors during these hours.

The latest weather bulletin further mentioned that moderate thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rainfall with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph are likely to continue over some parts of these districts.

Earlier, the IMD issued alert for Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam districts between 10:15AM and 12:15 PM today.
