lightning rainfall in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar has warned of thunderstorm, lightning and rainfall for several districts of the State.
As per the latest bulletin issued by the IMD, moderate thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by rainfall is likely to occur at most of the places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Jajpur till 11.30AM today.
People in these districts have been cautioned to stay alert during the thunderstorm activity.
On Tuesday, the Met predicted thunderstorm and lightning with moderate spells of rainfall at one or two places over Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh and Koraput districts between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Several parts of Odisha have been experiencing intense spells of rainfall triggered by low pressure formed over Bay of Bengal since June 30.
