Ward Member Hacked To Death Over Past Enmity In Odisha

Angul: A ward member was allegedly hacked to death by some miscreants with sharp weapons in Angul district on Sunday.

As per reports, some unidentified miscreants murdered one Jagabandhu Behera, a ward member who hails from Antulia panchayat in full public glare at Antulia market.

Sources said after committing the crime, the accused fled the spot. Later, police reached the spot and sent the dead body for autopsy.

Though, the reason behind the killing is suspected to be past enmity over a land dispute, the actual reason is yet to be ascertained.

An investigation is currently underway.
