Vigilance officials arrest police ASI over bribery charge

Sambalpur: Vigilance sleuths arrested an Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) of Sadar police station in Sambalpur yesterday on charges of accepting bribe.

The accused ASI, Kishore Bagh, was caught red-handed by the officials of anti-corruption department while taking bribe.

According to sources, Bagh accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a man for releasing the latter's vehicle.

While Bagh was caught by the officials inside the premises of the police station, a probe into the incident is underway.
