Video of youth drowning at Bhimkund waterfall goes viral

Keonjhar: A video of a youth being swept away by water current at Bhimkund waterfall near Ghatgaon in Keonjhar has gone viral.

It is suspected that the visual is of a drowning case that was reported on December 28 when a student of Madhupatna Sai Sikhshya Kendra, Rohan Mishra, had gone missing after falling into the water.

As per reports, Rohan, a resident of Nuapada, had visited the spot along with his batchmates for a picnic. In the video, many onlookers could be seen standing helpless while the youth is swept away in strong water current.

Despite intense search and rescue operations by Fire Services personnel in Bhimkund area, body of the victim could not be fished out.
