Video of girl being misbehaved by hostel owner made viral; 4 arrested

Bargarh: A video of a girl being misbehaved by the owner of a Girls' hostel in Gourpada area of Bargarh was made viral following which four people have been arrested by the police.

The accused were arrested after a written complaint was registered by father of the girl at the Bargarh police station.

According to sources, the girl had recorded the video of the incident which was presented as evidence before the police. Later, the accused had circulated the video.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rabinarayan Chhatar, Bimbadhar Mallick, Subodh Meher and Jagannath Chattar, who were produced before the court.

"Two cases have been registered under IPC 292 and IT Act 67. We have arrested four people in connection with the case," Inspector-in-charge Bibhuti Bhushan Bhoi said.

Meanwhile, police have formed a team and launched an investigation into the case to arrest others involved in the case.
