Video of BDO assaulting driver during KALIA samavesh goes viral

Keonjhar: The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Pandapada has found himself in trouble for slapping a driver during KALIA Samavesh organised at Pandapada of Keonjhar district on Sunday. The matter came to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

According to sources, the driver was engaged in transporting people to the programme venue. As per allegations, when the driver questioned the BDO about mismanagement in serving of food during the programme, the official got agitated and slapped the driver.

The whole incident was recorded on cell phones by other drivers present at the spot. The BDO reportedly abused other drivers for recording the incident, informed sources.

However, the concerned BDO has refuted the allegations and said that the driver physically assaulted the block office staff during the event.

On the other hand women beneficiaries who had come to attend the programme detained the BDO of Anandpur, CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) and Supervisor at Bankidi for allegedly not getting food during the programme.
