Bhubaneswar: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for Vice President Venkaiah Naidu's scheduled visit to Odisha to attend the first convocation of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on August 25.

The Vice President was earlier scheduled to attend the convocation ceremony on August 16. However, the programme was rescheduled to August 25.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty informed that 25 platoons of police force will be deployed during the Vice President's visit to Bhubaneswar. Moreover, a review of security arrangements was conducted today by a team of senior police officers.

"The entire security arrangement has been done as per the Blue Book guidelines. As the Vice President will be in Bhubaneswar for four to five hours, a detailed review of the security arrangements from his arrival at airport to Raj Bhawan and to AIIMS and return to airport was done today," Mohanty added.
