Two students killed in lightning strike in Odisha

Cuttack: Two students were killed after they were struck by lightning in Tangi area of Cuttack district today afternoon.

According to reports, the students, who were undergoing skill development training, sustained severe burn injuries after lightning struck them while they were playing with other students. They were rushed to the Cuttack-based SCB Medical College and Hospital where doctor declared them brought-dead.

The deceased students have been identified as Sisir Digal of Kandhamal and Bibhuti Nayak of Nayagarh.

Both Digal and Nayak were undergoing training at a skill development training centre in Tangi.
