Khurda: Two persons were killed and at least 27 others were injured in separate road mishaps across the state today.

In the first instance, two people were killed and two others were critically injured after a mini truck rammed into another stationary truck near Tangi-Chandpur on National Highway 16 in Khurda district in the wee hours today.

All the injured persons were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where two of them were declared dead by the doctors. The condition of the other two is stated to be critical.

In another incident, 25 persons were injured after a bus in which they were travelling overturned after colliding with a truck near Kuamara chhak in Basudevpur of Bhadrak district.

All the injured were initially rushed to the Basudevpur hospital and four of them who are stated to be critical have been shifted to SCB Medical college and hospital in Cuttack.

As per sources, the bus ‘Jugun was on its way to Cuttack from Dhamra in Bhadrak district when the mishap happened.
