Nuapada/Ganjam: Two persons were killed and around 20 sustained injuries in separate road mishaps in Odisha in the wee hours of Thursday.

As per reports, two youths were killed near Jalamakata village under Komana block in Nuapada district after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle from behind late on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Bibekananda Bag and Riten Singh of nearby Budhikomana village. The mishap took place at around 3 am when the two were returning to their village in their bike.

Meanwhile, their family members alleged that Bag and Singh have been killed by miscreants as severe cuts were found on their bodies.

In another incident, more than 20 persons sustained injuries after a marriage party bus overturned near Kalinga ghat in Andharikoti area in Ganjam district.

The bus was en route to Aska from a marriage party when the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle following which it overturned. All the injured were admitted to Bhanjanagar hospital.

Police rushed to the spot after getting information and started an investigation.
