Truck Carrying Jatra Artistes Overturns In Odisha, 13 Injured

Cuttack: At least 13 artistes of a Jatra (orchestra) troupe sustained injuries after the truck in which they were travelling overturned near Barabati pond on old Cuttack-Sambalpur road.

According to reports, the truck skidded off the road when its driver was trying to evade a motorcyclist on the road. Odisha Fire Services Personnel and local police rescued the injured and admitted them to Athagarh hospital.

The condition of seven persons is said to be critical and sources said that if their condition worsens, they will be shifted to Cuttack hospital.

Following the accident, vehicular traffic on old Cuttack-Sambalpur road was adversely affected.
