Tribal art and culture take center stage at Jeypore 'Patha Utsav'

Jeypore: Local residents in large number turned up for the second ‘Rahagiri’ or ‘Patha Utsav’ held in the Jeypore town on Sunday. The event was organised by Jeypore sub division administration and inaugurated by Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Koraput MP Jhina Hikaka.

The event was unique as it showcased the traditional art and culture of the tribes of Koraput district, said a local resident.

Various dance and music performances and other cultural programmes oraganised on the occasion enthralled the audiences. Students were also seen actively participating in painting and rangoli competitions that were organised to mark the occasion.

The efforts of the administration to recognise the hidden talent of youngsters through the Patha Utsav got appreciation from various quarters.
