Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm and lightning activities from Monday (April 26), the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

Moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities will ALSO continue in several parts of the State in the next 48 hours.

As per the latest IMD bulletin, the maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degree Celsius at many places over several districts of Odisha in the next 2-3 days and no large changes will occur thereafter.

Here’s the complete IMD forecast:

Day 1 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 24.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 25.04.2021)

Light rain or thunderstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Nabarangpur and Mayurbhanj.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.04.2021)

Light rain or thunderstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada and Koraput.

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 27.04.2021)

Moderate rain or thundershower is likely to lash districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning (To be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two placesover the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput and Gajapati.

Day 4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.04.2021)

Moderate rain or thundershower alert issued for the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning (To be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.04.2021)

Moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Angul, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri.
