Thunderstorm, rainfall alert issued for 19 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar issued moderate thunderstorm, lightning alert with light rainfall and gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 km/hr in several places of 19 districts till 08:30 PM today.

The alert has been issued in the districts--Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Angul, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Bolangir, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Koraput

Earlier in the day, the Weather department had issued issued moderate thunderstorm, lightning and rainfall alert with gusty wind up to 40 kmph, for Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh and Nayagarh districts till 5:45 PM today.

The Special Relief Commissioner(SRC) office had also issued dangerous thunderstorm and lightning alert for Kashipur and Rayagada blocks of Rayagada district; Lakshmipur and Dasamantapur blocks of Koraput district till 4.38 PM today.
