Bolangir/Nayagarh: At least three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Odisha's Bolangir and Nayagarh districts on Wednesday.

One Sartaj Singh, a driver who was standing on roadside, was hit by a truck near Sudapada Kalyan Mandap on Bolangir-Sonepur road. While Singh succumbed to injuries on the spot, the driver of the truck also sustained critical injuries as he lost control and the truck turned turtle.

Police soon reached the spot and rushed the truck driver to Bolangir hospital.

"Our driver (Sartaj Singh) was fixing tyre of his truck on roadside when the other truck hit him," said, Gurjit Singh, fellow driver of the deceased.

In another incident, two motorcyclists lost their lives after being hit by a speeding bus near Saraginda village under Daspalla police limits in Nayagarh district.
