Three children taken ill after consuming expired medicines in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Health condition of three children deteriorated after consuming expired medicines in Kharinasi village under Mahakalapada block in the district late night on Sunday.

According to sources, the children were initially rushed to the Ramnagar Community Health Centre. Later they were rushed to district headquarters hospital (DHH) as there was no sign of improvement in their health condition.

Subsequently, they were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.

“While playing outside the kids had consumed the medicines assuming it to be chocolates,” said a local, Ranjan Das.

As per medical reports, their condition is stated to be critical.
