Bhubaneswar: Lambasting the Odisha government, Congress party's A Chellakumar said that there is no democracy in the State.

In a press conference in Bhubaneswar on Friday, the Odisha in-charge of the Congress party said, "Handful bureaucrats have taken over the administration to fulfill their self-interests."

"No public representative gets to meet the Chief Minister. Even the Cabinet Ministers do not get a chance to meet their CM, forget about the MLA's and other grassroots-level leaders," alleged Chellakumar.

Describing Congress as the most people-friendly party, Chellakumar said, "While JB Patnaik was the Chief Minister, we had committed to build thousand industries in thousand days and we had fulfilled it."

"The industries have lost their sheen in the last 20 years, in fact a lot of industries have shut down due to the ruling-BJD's policies," added Chellakumar.

Ruling-BJD's response to Chellakumar's allegations could not be obtained.
