Puri: A team of healthcare workers including Brahmagiri Tehsildar was allegedly misbehaved when they had gone to Kahalapada village to shift eight members of a family to COVID hospital after all of them tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to sources, one of the members of the family had died due to COVID-19 last week. Later, after test, rest of the family members also found positive for the virus.

On being asked to shift to a COVID hospital, the family members reportedly denied and misbehaved with the health workers and the Tehsildar.

The team later returned from the spot and filed a complaint in this regard at Brahmagiri police station.

Meanwhile, the administration has declared their house as a containment zone. A video of the incident has gone viral on the social media platforms.

Comments on the matter from the Tehsildar and police could not be obtained. The story will be updated once a response is received from the officials.
